Hosts confirm manually right now. This keeps things accurate for smaller island properties where availability can shift fast — you'll hear back quickly, and nothing is locked in until your host confirms.

Can I book bike rentals or ferry transfers along with my stay?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Bike rentals, inter-island ferry bookings, and local experiences can all be added alongside your homestay booking.

Do I need to pay in advance?

No. Coral Nest doesn't collect any payment upfront. You pay your host directly, in person, when you arrive. No card details, no advance transfer, no deposit.

How do I pay the host — cash, UPI, card?

Accepted Answer

This depends on the host. Most accept UPI and cash; card acceptance varies by island given limited connectivity. Your host will confirm accepted payment methods when your booking is confirmed.

Since I pay on arrival, does cancelling cost me anything?

No refund is involved since no payment is taken upfront. Once a host confirms your booking, only you (the guest) can cancel or request changes. Hosts can't unilaterally cancel a confirmed booking except in a genuine emergency.

Yes. Every visitor who isn't a native of the islands needs an entry permit from the Lakshadweep Administration . Since April 2026 you don't need a local sponsor or a police certificate from your home town. Apply on the official portal lak.e-permit.utl.gov.in at least 14 days before travel , list every island you'll visit, and book flights only after your permit is approved.
